LIGHT BULB

Light Bulb literally radiates positivity. They’re friendly, curious, and always coming up with new ideas— even bad ones.

Book is confident, highly-knowledgeable, and a great teacher. They can be a bit overbearing, but they mean well.

What are their origin stories?

Our creatively named mascots— Light Bulb, Book, and Pencil— first came into existence in July 2024 by Renee Oh. After joining the PR team earlier that summer, Renee noticed CovEd needed some flair. So, with lots of research, numerous design iterations, and extensive feedback, she finally created the mascots we have today.

Though there are many symbols of education, we decided on a light bulb, book, and a pencil to represent the values we, at CovEd, hope to instill in our students: innovation, knowledge, and independence.
